From geometric solids to cast study of the eye. Not a straight foward geometric shape but none the less geometric in nature. Therefore we are still approaching our subect in the same maner. By not only drawing from the cast but also sculpting a copy out of clay.
We are only into our second day in this project and I have some progress photos. You can see that I’m experimenting in finding the plane changes of the cast, both in the drawing and in clay. This takes a little trial and error. This is already my third study in drawing the eye, and after I had taken this photo of my clay copy I had to rework the entire forhead and brow. Its hard to see from the photo because its taken looking straight on but if viewed from the side, top, or from underneath I hadn’t projected the form out enough.
